I saw this short video a couple days ago on Yoganonymous and felt I had to share it. Sianna Sherman is easily my favorite yoga teacher ever. Here she shares a little information on the first universal principle of alignment in Anusara Yoga: Open to Grace. Most people don't know what the hell floaty kind of thing "open to grace" means and I think this video sums it up pretty well.
I do have to say that the background color of this video makes me think of Sesame Street for some reason.
It sounds a bit heady. Meaning it is pretty, but she is not really saying anything. I love Anusara and my favorite teacher doesn't get all heady like this and her classes are huge because the students can relate to her.
In sales, you learn how to formulate an "elevator pitch". You essentially learn how to speak with meaning using the least amount of words. If it takes 3 minutes to say what "open to grace" means, you have lost your students.
I would be interested in a blog post from you on what "open to grace" means in plain English :)
I live yoga - eat sleep and breathe it. While I teach vinyasa flow, I have studied many styles of yoga.
I play outside when it's sunny and open my heart to new experiences and people.
I love my dog and my husband. They're pretty awesome ♥
